Lips Like Sugar

Its Friday morning, 8:47 am. I only have one class today and it starts at 11. Its seems that I am up early today. But only by 10 minutes. See, now that I'm living off campus, getting to class (on time) has more than I ever thought of. When I lived in the dorms, I could wake up 15 mins before a class, throw some clothes on, WALK to class and still make it before the teacher closed the door to the class. Now that's changed. If I want to make it to class in time, I have to wake up at least an hour and a half before class. In this time span I do the usual morning routine (shower, get dressed, get breakfast, which I never did before). Then I have to drive to school. This is another whole obstacle within itself. To avoid most of the traffic around campus in the morning, instead of going straight, I take the loop around town. It's kind of out of the way, but I avoid all the stop lights and traffic. So once I get to school, I park in the commuter parking lot, which is a 20 minute walk from the main part of campus. Parking in the commuter lot isn't all that bad, most of the times. The school provides a bus that shuttles commuters from the parking lot to the campus. Most of the time I'll take the bus, but if you running late you have to deal with the line of other people waiting for the bus, and that line can get really long. That's when you realize your better off just walking to campus, and by the time you get there, your all sweaty and that outfit you spend the night before laying out and ironing is completely ruined with sweat. The life of a college student.

One thing I really, really, really miss about living on campus? Being able to walk in the cafeteria, swipe your ID and being able to get some food. Luckily, I have friends that have connections in the lunch lines. I was able to get lunch a few days this week.

Flag football starts in a few weeks. The Legion of Doom started training last week, and we are a force to be reconed with.

I'm on a new diet. It's the Lean Pockets and Gatorade diet. We'll see how it works.
