....and before I knew it, it was time to come back to Naca-nowhere. It was sooo good to go home for a little bit. Last night I went to work in the kitchen back at Pappadeaux. Boy, have things changed around there. I felt like Brendan Frasier in "Blast From the Past". New people, new food, new policies, but the same crummy clientele. None of the new people there know how to wait tables. But it felt good to see all of my friends and all the cooks in the back. Just like old times.

On Saturday morning, (Greg) Kelly and Erin (friends from high school), and I went to the Woodlands to run a 5k race. Well, actually, Erin and I ran the race. Kelly was just our chauffeur. There were'nt that many people there, I'd say about 40-45 people. And they were all "up there" in years. Me, Erin, and these 3 other guys were in about the same age group. But there were also some kids that were in elementary school. These kid were hard core! There was a group of little black kids, probably in like 5 grade, all wearing matching Under Armor running suits. And the sad part was that they were actually beating me at the start of the race. At the beginning of the race, we had to run two laps around the parking lot of the local elementary school. And the whole two laps they were beating me. Sad. But I eventually passed them up. Towards the end of the race, the two "old" guys passed me upwith about 3/4 of a mile left to go. By old, I mean the one was about my dad's age and another could have been my grandpa. But the race only a dollar so I guess you get what you pay for. So....to make sure that I got my money's worth, I stuffed about 4 or 5 Pepsi cans in my backpack before I left. Hahaha.....suckers. Oh yeah, while I was at the race I saw my friend Holly from high schoo. I had a class with here every year in high school, except for senior year, but we were still good friends. So after the race, we stopped by McDonalds for breakfast. You know how they have Nintendo 64 games for the kids to play at McDonalds? Well after breakfast me and Kelly went to go play some MLB All-Star Baseball 2001. I bet him so bad (the score was 1-0 when we left). Anytime you want some Kelly, I'll be waiting.

So my parents are talking about moving to a new house. And I don't blame them. Like my friend said the other day, "Louetta is turning into the new FM 1960". They're talking about moving out in Magnolia. But this will probably take effect after my sister graduates high school.

Well, I think it's time to go catch up on my Sunday nap. Smell ya later.
