Ready to go home for Christmas, are we?

College is crazy. Everything around here is decided on a whim. Sunday night, for instance, its about 10:30 at night an I am seriously about to fall asleep when someone busts in my room and yells "Hey dude, you wanna play Halo 2?". Not thinking clearly, I decided to play with them. It was five teams of four playing against each other; 20 kids on different floors in Hall 14 playing Halo 2 until about 12:30. Pure pandemonium.

Finally, some cold weather. Unfortuanately, I don't have any winter clothes. Well, none that I choose to wear.

....and before I knew it, it was time to come back to Naca-nowhere. It was sooo good to go home for a little bit. Last night I went to work in the kitchen back at Pappadeaux. Boy, have things changed around there. I felt like Brendan Frasier in "Blast From the Past". New people, new food, new policies, but the same crummy clientele. None of the new people there know how to wait tables. But it felt good to see all of my friends and all the cooks in the back. Just like old times.

On Saturday morning, (Greg) Kelly and Erin (friends from high school), and I went to the Woodlands to run a 5k race. Well, actually, Erin and I ran the race. Kelly was just our chauffeur. There were'nt that many people there, I'd say about 40-45 people. And they were all "up there" in years. Me, Erin, and these 3 other guys were in about the same age group. But there were also some kids that were in elementary school. These kid were hard core! There was a group of little black kids, probably in like 5 grade, all wearing matching Under Armor running suits. And the sad part was that they were actually beating me at the start of the race. At the beginning of the race, we had to run two laps around the parking lot of the local elementary school. And the whole two laps they were beating me. Sad. But I eventually passed them up. Towards the end of the race, the two "old" guys passed me upwith about 3/4 of a mile left to go. By old, I mean the one was about my dad's age and another could have been my grandpa. But the race only a dollar so I guess you get what you pay for. So....to make sure that I got my money's worth, I stuffed about 4 or 5 Pepsi cans in my backpack before I left. Hahaha.....suckers. Oh yeah, while I was at the race I saw my friend Holly from high schoo. I had a class with here every year in high school, except for senior year, but we were still good friends. So after the race, we stopped by McDonalds for breakfast. You know how they have Nintendo 64 games for the kids to play at McDonalds? Well after breakfast me and Kelly went to go play some MLB All-Star Baseball 2001. I bet him so bad (the score was 1-0 when we left). Anytime you want some Kelly, I'll be waiting.

So my parents are talking about moving to a new house. And I don't blame them. Like my friend said the other day, "Louetta is turning into the new FM 1960". They're talking about moving out in Magnolia. But this will probably take effect after my sister graduates high school.

Well, I think it's time to go catch up on my Sunday nap. Smell ya later.

Man, it feels good to be home for a couple of days. I'm so glad that I wasn't up at school this week. Everything is pretty much the same around here. On Wednesday, me and Sean went and hung out for a bit, just like the good ole days. Thanksgiving was great. I just really enjoyed spending time with my family. You never really know how much you love and miss them until you go off for a couple of months. Ususally on Thanksgiving, after dinner, we all watch a movie, whether its a rental or we go to the movies. But this year my mother began buying bootleg movies. This year we watched "Ray". Now, we all know that bootleg movies are wrong. I at least have some kind of moral system when I download movies off the internet. I don't download movies that are about somebody famous or somebody that has died, and this movie fell into both categories. But.....I didn't download it so its all good. Oh....I also got a couple of hours to work back at Pappadeaux. I went back there the other day and I hardly recognized any of the people there. Its all a bunch of new people. And what sucks even more is that there are a butt-load of name that I got memorize. Oh well....I'm gonna go get in a nap before I go to work. I'm out

Finally, I get to get out of this two-bit town for a few days. They say you never really miss something until its gone. That is so true. You never realize how good leftovers are until you go off and have to eat cafeteria food for every meal. The food here is so bad it makes me wanna punch somebody.

A test at 6:45 in the morning? Prof. Taffe, what were you thinking?

Spring, Texas, here I come!

You know times have changed when Alf has his on talk show.

I don't really have much else to say. I'm really ready to go home for Thanksgiving. Delish.

I just wanted to write a little bit before I went to bed. After finishing of a Grande meal from Taco Bell, sleep sounds really good. Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good night.

For the first time all semester, my roommate and I had our first conversation. He hadn't been by the room in almost 2 weeks. And he came by this morning to pick up some stuff and we just started talking. I don't know, it was kinda weird. Maybe he might start talking more and staying in my room less.

I went running last night with my little running group (me, Jarrod, and Krystal). I finally persuaded Grice to come with us. This was his first time running since he quit the team (almost 3 weeks). We ran for about an hour. It was a perfect night to go running too. The air was cold and crisp. I probably should have worn a shirt or some gloves or something, because when I got back to my room, my lips, face, and hands were completly numb. So I went and took a 20 minutes shower. That felt soo good.

It looks like I'll be spending the weekend by myself here at SFA. The guys are going back to Baylor to visit Joey's girlfriend. But after what happened last time, I'd think it would be wise for me to sit this one out. There's always next time.

Senseless rambling.....
Not much going on. Went home last weekend. SFA lost its Homecoming game. My roommate is never, ever here, which is a good thing. I sleep on the bottom bunk. I've got stale brownies in my closet. Leftover lasagna sits in my fridge. It rained today. Now I'm wet. My clothes are in the dryer. I have 1500 songs on my computer. I am going to go study.
