#5. Be cautious about trying new things for the first time. This concept can work in two ways: good and bad. For example, last night me and Phil went to the indoor pool down at the Health and Fitness Center. Near the back of the pool, the have two diving boards, the average sized one and a huge 10 foot one. So I decide to jump from the big one. And let me tell you something, it's really not as bad as you think it would be. It's not like your jumping into a pit of snakes, its only water. Later on some kid starts doing like some Olympic diving junk off the high dive. Wanting to show him up, I decided to add some "flare" to my plain Jane backflips. So the next time I go up to do a backflip, I twisted my body as soon as my feet leave the diving board. Everything seemed to be going pretty good, until I see the water coming at me at a really weird angle. And before I know what was happening, I hit the water, but not the way I wanted to. I hit it on my left side with a sickening "CLAP". By the time my limp body had floated to the surface, everybody at the pool, even the lifeguard on duty, was laughing at me. So, children, the moral of the story is.....STAY AWAY FROM THE DIVING BOARD!

You know it's cold outside when you can see your breath in the middle of the day. That' east Texas for ya.

I've started working out again, if I already hadn't said it. It's kinda hard to start up again after taking a year off. But its all good. Plus, me and my running buddy have gotten a couple people to get and go running with, which is very good.

Did you know that Frosted Flakes has only 120 calories per serving? Its amazing what you learn from reading a cereal box.

"All learning is experience. Everything else is just information"-Albert Einstein

I am thoroughly enjoying my college experience here at SFA. It wasn't my first choice, but I actually think that going to school here will actually be better for me in the long run. Speaking of "long run", I have a 10k (6 mile) race coming up next month. I'm gonna start going out for hour long runs more often. I've also started working out again, just like the old days.

#3. Start a line of communication with your teachers and professors. If you are absent, let them know why you were gone, and when you will be back in class again. This allow them to know that you are concerned about your grades. Plus, when finals comes around, most professors will help you out if you are border line with your grades.

#4. Be careful on who are your "friends" and who are just acquaintances.

Nacogdoches; Can't live with it, can't live without it. It's my first night back in the 4-1-1, and you know what? It feels exactly the way it felt when I left last semester.

This year I'm gonna try something new. Having reached the age of 20 (Jan. 14 for all you late comers), I've decided to pass on some of my aquired knowledge. Its a little thing I like to call: "Listen To Your Elders". Most of it comes from my parent's beating it into my head over the years. Everytime I add a post, I'll try and remember to add a new one. So here we goes:

#1. As you get older, birthday's become just another day of the week to you.

#2. Don't procrastinate. Get your crap done early so you don't have to cram it all in at the last minute. This way, once all of your stuff is done, you can goof off at the end.

Yo, check this out. Who actually thinks of that kind of stuff?

Signing off,
The Southern Gentleman

It's the beginning of the year and what am I doing? Watching "Spiceworld".

So far, my break has been pretty great. A little work here and there, waking up at the crack of 2 in the afternoon. Awesome.

For Christmas, I got a digital camera. Just what I wanted. Now I can take pictures of all my crazy antics. And New Year's was even better. After I got off of work, I went over to my friend's house and blew some stuff up (We spent $80 on fireworks). The next day we went and bought 5 dozen hamburger. But not just any old hamburgers, Krystal burgers. I polished off about 12 of them before I went into a state of comatose.
Well, I must go now. Scary Spice is calling.
